This policy explains what personal data MineList collects, why we do it and what rights you have. We keep the data to the minimum needed to run the service.
Who is responsible
The operator of MineList and the data controller is Jan Neckář. You can contact him at info@minelist.eu.
Data we process
- Account data. If you register as a server owner, we store your e-mail address, your nick and a password hash. We never store the password itself.
- Votes. When you vote, we store the Minecraft nick, your IP address and the time of the vote. We need them to enforce one vote per server per day and to fight abuse. Vote records are kept for a maximum of 13 months and are then deleted.
- Server data. Listed servers are pinged regularly and their public status, such as players online and version, is published on the site. This is public information about a server, not about a person.
- Technical logs. Our server and Cloudflare keep short-term logs with IP addresses for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and similar technologies
- A session cookie that keeps you logged in. It is necessary for the service.
- A cookie that remembers your Minecraft nick, so you do not have to enter it again when voting.
- Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic statistics, used only with your consent.
- Google AdSense for advertising, used only with your consent. Google may set its own cookies for ad personalization.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot check that runs when you vote or sign in.
You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting cookies in your browser.
Why we may process the data
Account and vote data are processed to provide the service you asked for and for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only on the basis of your consent.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with service providers needed to run the site, such as hosting, Cloudflare, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and with authorities when the law requires it. A server owner who uses the API or NuVotifier receives the nick of a player who voted for that server.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable form. Write to info@minelist.eu and include the nick or e-mail address concerned. We will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
Many Minecraft players are young. We do not ask for more than a nick to vote, and we do not knowingly collect other data from children without a parent's consent.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. The current version is always available on this page.
